About & Rooms
A characterful country house and self-contained annexe in a peaceful Wye Valley lane — private, comfortable and surrounded by open countryside.
A peaceful retreat in the heart of the Wye Valley
Field Cottage sits in a very quiet lane in the Peterstow countryside, near the market town of Ross-on-Wye in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are views of the countryside from every window, and the house is far enough from its neighbours to offer a real sense of privacy — yet it's well connected, around ten minutes' drive from Ross-on-Wye and twenty-five from Hereford.
You'll have the whole property to yourselves: a four-bedroom main house, a separate self-contained one-bedroom annexe with its own kitchen and living area, and the gardens. The cottage comfortably sleeps eight.
Space to gather, room to relax
Built in 1850, the main house has four bedrooms upstairs and, downstairs, two separate living rooms, a dining room and a well-equipped kitchen — so there's always somewhere to be sociable or to slip away with a book.
Bed linen, sheets, towels, toilet roll, shampoo and shower gel are all included, so you can simply arrive and settle in.
- Two living rooms
- Dining room & kitchen
- Dishwasher, washer & dryer

A self-contained space of its own
About ten metres from the main house, the annexe is fully self-contained. Downstairs there's a double bedroom with no stairs to navigate and its own accessible shower room — ideal for anyone who'd prefer to avoid steps.
Upstairs is a light-filled, open-plan living room and kitchen with a dining table, crowned by a vaulted ceiling and apex glazing that frames the fields beyond. It has its own internet, too.

There's a large lawn in front of the main house and another by the annexe, with shrubs and flower beds to enjoy through the seasons and views over the surrounding fields, farmland and orchards.
